1. Who we are

2. What this site is (and is not)

Best eBikes UK is a free editorial comparison site. We research, compare and write about electric bikes available to UK riders. We do not sell bikes, take payment, or hold stock. When you click through to a retailer, any purchase is a contract between you and that retailer, on their terms — they are responsible for the sale, delivery, returns and warranty, not us. Some outbound links earn us a commission, explained in full in our affiliate disclosure.

Our content is general guidance to help you shortlist, not professional advice, and not a personal recommendation. Always check that a bike suits your needs and the current law. In Great Britain, ordinary-cycle treatment requires an EAPC to have working pedals, the required markings, maximum continuous rated motor output no higher than 250 watts, and no motor propulsion above 15.5 mph; the rider must be 14 or over, and a throttle can require type approval. Confirm the exact configuration against the current Great Britain guidance; Northern Ireland publishes separate guidance. Other machines have different registration, licensing, tax and insurance requirements.

3. Accuracy, prices and specifications

We check listings regularly, but manufacturers change specifications, retailers change prices, and stock and discount codes come and go without notice. Information on this site may therefore be out of date at any given moment. Always confirm the current price, specification and availability with the retailer before you buy. If you spot an error, please tell us via the contribute page — corrections make the site better for everyone.

4. Editorial independence

Rankings and comparisons are based on specifications, price and suitability for UK riding. Commission arrangements never determine whether a bike is listed or how it ranks, and no brand approves our content before publication.

5. Your submissions

If you submit a bike, correction, comment or idea via our contribute or feedback pages, you confirm it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not infringe anyone else's rights, and you grant GK Tools Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit and publish it on this site. We moderate all submissions and may decline or remove any of them. Do not submit anything unlawful, defamatory or promotional disguised as a genuine contribution.

6. Our content

The text, comparison data, design and code of this site belong to GK Tools Ltd or are used with permission. You are welcome to link to any page. Do not scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site commercially without our written permission. Product names, images and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the products being compared.

7. Third-party sites

Links to retailers, brands and other sites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices, availability, terms or how they handle your data.

8. Liability

The site is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the information here, from errors or omissions, from the site being unavailable, or from your dealings with any third-party retailer. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

9. General

We may update these terms from time to time; the date below shows the current version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live in another part of the UK you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and courts there.
