Why Best eBikes UK?

Best eBikes UK is built and run by one rider and developer, trading as GK Tools Ltd. I started the site after spending too many evenings juggling spreadsheets, retailer specs and YouTube reviews while hunting for my next commuter. Every manufacturer lists torque, batteries and weights differently, so I pulled them together in one place with UK-friendly filters.

That list quickly grew into a proper comparison tool that I keep tuning so other riders can skip the admin and focus on the bikes.

How the catalogue is researched

Core specifications are taken primarily from official manufacturer pages, manuals and retailer material, then normalised into consistent units so bikes can be compared. Best eBikes UK does not independently laboratory-test every listed model, and similarly named bikes can differ by region or model year. Treat a blank field as unknown rather than assuming it matches another version.

Automated price and stock checks run daily where retailer pages permit them. Each listing shows the date of the latest stored check where one is available; that date matters more than a blanket “current” claim. Retailers can still change a price, code, configuration or availability immediately afterwards, so confirm at checkout.

I review new models and corrections manually, and community submissions are moderated before publication. If you spot a discrepancy, send the source through the contribute page. For road use, we record relevant motor data but do not certify legal status: check the exact configuration, markings, assist cut-off and any throttle approval against the current Great Britain or Northern Ireland EAPC guidance.
